Competitions

Since its inception in 1954 the Michel Chiha Foundation has been committed to introducing to new generations of Lebanese his concept of Lebanon and as a founding member of the nation, spreading his thoughts and ideas on the nature of modern Lebanon. To this end, the Foundation organises an annual inter-school contest aimed at pupils from ‘Seconde, Premiere and Terminal’ classes. This year, 500 students from across the country took part in this competition.

The nationwide Inter scholar essay competition was held on March 10th, at the Moevenpick hotel, Beirut. The Award Ceremony was held on May 12th at the Bristol Hotel, Beirut. Thank you to the hundreds of participants from over 30 schools across the country! And congratulations to the winners!

Since its creation in 1954, the Michel Chiha Foundation’s mission is to spread Chiha’s thoughts and writings.

Following the recommendation of several school principals, the Michel Chiha Foundation has decided to submit two topics for the 2016 inter scholar competition. The competition took place on March 5th, 2016, at the Moevenpick Hotel Beirut.

The Michel Chiha Inter Scholar competition was held on March 28th, 2015. The schools participating are located in various parts of Lebanon, from Tripoli and Koura in the North to the Metn, to the Chouf, to the South and Beirut; the competition was intended for students in their last high school year.

In 2010, the Michel Chiha Foundation organized its competition in collaboration with the University of Balamand.

The AUB students were each awarded up to $4000 in cash prizes for winning the competition.
